17th February 2002 - I've received a fantastic picture of the new Arwen action doll, dressed in her Elven archer outfit, as seen at the battle of Helm's Deep in the upcoming film "The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers". I think every Tolkien fan will be rushing out to buy this!

6th December 2001 - Kyrgyzstan's leading expert on Tolkien, who goes by the name of "THE DWARF" recently attended a secret preview of The Fellowship Of The Rings. In an exclusive to THIS SITE, we have The Dwarf's authoritative, full and detailed review of the film.

5th July 2001 - We can expect some great collectibles inspired by The Lord Of The Rings. Italian company SRC have released pictures of their new "Bilbo Baggins at Rivendell" statuette and guess what? We have one to give away in a fantastic competition to celebrate one year of Jimcalagon's site!

1st June 2001 - Someone who wishes to be called Atreides has sent me a picture of the Nazgul uncloaked. Peter Jackson has come down very hard on some sites for showing similar pictures - just let him try it with ME!

15th May 2001 - Some more good news! Remember the dismay when we discovered that Peter Jackson had decided to dress the soldiers of Gondor in armour, of all things? Well Tolkien expert Martin Morales has come to the rescue and put Jackson RIGHT!

12th April 2001 - We've done it again! We were the first to bring you the pictures of Peter Jackson's Balrog design, and we are the first to bring you TREEBEARD in all his glory. I expect that we will receive an injunction from New Line pictures within days forcing us to take this exclusive picture off the site so the picture won't be here forever.

4th April 2001 - Like any blockbuster movie, Peter Jackson's The Lord Of The Rings is set to spawn a slew of spin-off merchandising. In an exclusive to this site, John Horde returns with pictures of the action figure versions of two of the key characters from the film.

Larger than life movie enthusiast, Barry Holes, well known for his popular website Isnt-it-great-news was personally invited by Peter Jackson to fly out to New Zealand to be on set for the last few days of filming. He has compiled a great report of his experiences which he has graciously allowed me to include on the site.

18th September 2000 - Winja Celeborn lives! He has returned with copies of the casting scripts used in the auditions. The first one we have is Merry and Pippin in Fangorn Forest and very encouraging it is too!

1st September 2000 - We all know that Peter Jackson is filming a blockbuster version of The Lord Of The Rings right now. But how many of us remember the ill-fated 1978 animated version? Well, more than 20 years on, I have had a quick chat with Raoul Bukshi, the director of that movie, to get the inside story behind the making of that version and his thoughts on the new version due for release next year. .
