EXCLUSIVE! Larger than life webmeister, Harry Knowles, from Ain't It Cool News is a close friend and confidante of burly Kiwi wunderkind, Peter Jackson. So much so, in fact, that Peter Jackson offered Harry a part in The Lord of The Rings playing 'Lurtz', the leader of Saruman's crack squad of Uruk-Hai.

Harry is no stranger to weird clothing; as can be seen in the photo above, he always wears a feather boa in tribute to his idol, 1970s British Glam Rocker, Marc Bolan. This latest transformation, though, is outlandish even by Harry's standards, requiring a gruelling four hours in make up before even a second of film is shot. The results though, I'm sure you will agree, are well worth the effort and Harry is almost unrecognisable as the evil, half-orcish "Lurtz"

When asked how he felt at being accorded such a great honor, Harry said, "Well, it's kinda... like a really... cool sort of... thing to... do, ya know? With like... orcs and... stuff all like kinda... running around and... like sort of crazy mayhem type stuff! And THEN I get to be LURTZ who is like... real badass type of a... character. COOL!"
