My dear Purists, Revisionists, Pragmatists and RTFs, it's been a while since I updated the site, as you may have gathered, and this seems to be a natural point at which to call it a day. When I started the site, in June 2000, I didn't think it would be running for four weeks, never mind four years, which is too short a time to have the company of such excellent and admirable Tolkien Fans! Still, as it's all over bar the shouting (and the extended ROTK) there doesn't seem to be much more left to do here.

I regret to announce that - though, as I said, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to spend among you - this is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOOD-BYE!
